Student Outbreak Response Team (SORT)
The Student Outbreak and Response Team (SORT) is one of the oldest graduate student organizations at the Rollins School of Public Health, established in 2001. This competitive organization seeks to promote future public health leadership by providing students with hands-on training in outbreak response and emergency preparedness. SORT’s partnerships with the Fulton County and DeKalb County Boards of Health, the Center for Public Health Preparedness and Research at Emory University, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) gives members the opportunity to apply public health theory in practical settings.
